Remembering those dark days as a mom when my daughter was in the early stages of PANDAS (age 7). How quickly she descended and how no doctor we met knew what her symptoms were. Knowing that it was not something purely psychological, I kept researching until I found PANDAS. So glad she didn’t fall through the cracks of the medical system that knew little about this type of autoimmune disorder. Today she is 12 and still takes prescription antibiotics. Every time she forgets and goes for a time
without antibiotics, she develops symptoms again. Supposedly this may end when she reaches puberty. So glad we found a solution for maintenance, and so so glad I have my daughter back to 99% of her old self.
